This small book is an excellent review of recent views concerning mammary carcinoma. It consists of five chapters concerned with the epidemiology, pathology, examination, and treatment of cancer of the breast. The chapter about epidemiology presents lucidly the risk factors associated with this disease. Although the chapter is short, it is accompanied by 80 references that will permit any student to study this aspect of breast cancer in depth. The chapter on the pathology of breast cancer contains a good discussion of frozen sections and their limitations. The black and white photomicrographs of the different cellular types of breast cancer are clear, well selected, and reproduced. The pathological classifications of the different cellular types of breast cancer is similar to that of others. However, the authors refer to Kouchoukos et al and imply that the nature of the infiltrate border of the cancer may relate to prognosis in patients with
