College Life Experiences, Satisfaction, and Estimated Gains of Graduating Seniors

Students’ satisfaction data helps in making curriculum more effective andresponsive. The researchers saw the need to conduct an exit survey for institutionalimprovement; hence, this study was conceptualized. The study assessed the collegelife experiences, satisfaction, and estimated gains which measured the skills andcompetencies developed during the university students’ stay at the AdventistUniversity of the Philippines (AUP). The exit survey was yearly administered tograduating seniors for three consecutive years with a total number of 152, 138, and130, respectively during the school year 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017. Using descriptive statistics, results revealed that the graduating seniors forthree consecutive years have good and commendable college life experiences interms of academic learning and students-faculty interaction. However, thegraduating seniors perceived that they have faircollege life experiences in terms ofco-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The satisfaction level of theadministrative, academic, and support services is moderate. The levelof gainsacquired by the graduating seniors is very high for three consecutiveyears. The degree of satisfaction of the graduating seniors in their quality of verticaland horizontal relationship is high. The practical implications of the findings andpossible future research directions were identified in this study.
