남부지역 유자재배 지역중심으로 감귤황룡병과 매개충 아시아감귤나무이(Diaphotima citri)에 대한 2018-2020년 예찰조사 보고

2021
In recent years, the influx of high-risk plant diseases, which can cause serious damage to domestic crops, has been steadily increasing due to climate change and the increase in international trade volume, travelers, and foreign migrants. In particular, citrus huanglongbing caused by ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’ causes devastation and enormous damage, which cannot be recovered. For this reason, in this study, we monitored the influx of huanglongbing and insect vector, Asian citrus psyllid(ACP; Diaphotima citri), which do not exist in Korea, for 3 years (2018‒2020) in the South Korean citron cultivation areas. Citron can be a temporary host of huanglongbing and is cultivated mainly in the coastal regions of Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do. The survey was conducted in three regions belonging to Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do, which are the main producers of citron in Korea. The survey regions of Jeollanam-do included Goheung, Boseong, and Gwangyang; Gyeongsangnam-do included Geoje, Tongyeong, and Namhae. Three sites in each region were included in the survey. Using sticky traps, we carried out the investigation of pest vector ACP of huanglongbing. Three-year survey was conducted every two weeks from June to October in 2018, and April to October in 2019 and 2020. According to a three-year survey (2018‒2020), no huanglongbing and ACP were found in South Korea. This study was conducted through a nationwide monitoring network established to predict plant diseases early, and is considered to have contributed to establishing a basis for predicting the outbreak of exotic plant diseases.
