Analysis the utilization of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in 35 three tertiary hospital of Guangzhou area from 2007 to 2010

Objective To analyze the utilization of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAIDs) in 35 three tertiary hospita1 of Guangzhou area from 2007 to 2010.Methods The utilization of NSAIDs in 35 three tertiary hospital was analyzed statistically in terms of categories,varieties,consumption sum,DDDs and DDC.Results The drug varieties,sum of money and DDDs of the NSAIDs increased year by year,and the growth rate of sum of money was 17.2%,11.4% and 17.6%respectively from 2007 to 2010,of which Celecoxib and Ibuprofen occupied the front two position in the market of NSAIDs.The marketed share of a new type of cycloxygenase-2 inhibitor with less ADR had risen rapidly,but the security in long-time usage should be observed.Conclusion The markets of NSAIDs will be further expanded in our country.Novel COX-2 selective inhibitors will have a great potential market.
