Benign Aggressive Bone Lesions: Marginal Resection plus Methylmethacrylate — A Long-Term Appraisal

1991
Acrylic cementation as an adjuvant therapy for treatment of benign aggressive bone lesions is recognized as a effective method as discussed in previous publications [1,3,4,8,9,10]. These authors usually achieved a very low rate of local recurrence, with preservation of articular movement and early ambulation. Strube [9], Linder [5], Lunkskog [6], and others have suggested that the heat generated by the polymerization might affect the neoplastic cells, making this procedure particularly effective against B3 lesions, as also stated by Enneking [2].
