Study on the Characterization Parameters for the Catalytic Pyrolysis of Gas Oils

2021
Characterization parameters of c for light olefin yield (KCP) in catalytic pyrolysis were studied in this paper. A confined fluidized bed reactor was used for different gas oils over commercial equilibrium pyrolyzing catalyst. The influences of feed properties on catalytic pyrolysis light olefin yields were investigated. Three representative properties of feed (H/C atomic ratio, density, and molecular weight) were related to the light olefins yield to obtain a correlation model of KCP by using the least square method. Results for error analysis show that the characterization parameters have high precision to evaluate the property of gas oils for catalytic pyrolysis. The feed for catalytic pyrolysis is ideal when Kcp is above 9.2, while unacceptable when Kcp is below 7.5.
