A Combined Model Flux ObserverforVector Control ofTraction Asynchronous Motors

2007
Vectorcontrol induction motordrives are particularly sensitive tothevariation ofmotorparameters. Asaconsequence, thefield orientation ismissed, leading to substantial degradation ofperformance. Theperformance oftraction motorscanbeevenmoredegraded bythe substantial coreloss duetotheir highsupply frequency. In thispaper, a fluxobserver usingcombined voltage and current modelispresented. Theinfluence ofthecoreloss resistance isconsidered inmotormodels. Thiscontrol systemisrobustagainst simultaneous variations ofthe stator resistance, rotorresistances, aswellasthemismatch oftheequivalent stator core-loss resistance, yielding a globally stable observer withhighly robust performance. IndexTerms-- Field Oriented Control, Induction motor, Ironloss, flux observer.
