Factores familiares que favorecen al proceso de rehabilitación de pacientes varones policonsumidores dependientes de sustancias psicoactivas ilegales en Quito

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, 247 million people used drugs during the year 2015, 29 million people are diagnosed with a disorder related to drug use, however, only one of every six of these people receive treatment. These data show that the consumption of drugs is high, the request for treatment is extremely low, and the consequences of this are innumerable, facts with which this situation has become a public health problem in Ecuador, for its regulation public policies has been stablished with the aim to guarantee a multidisciplinary care without criminalization for those who are immersed in this situation. A large percentage of those who enter rehabilitation centers do not complete the process, do not succeed, or their relapses are immediate and recurrent. Some authors state that the involvement of close relatives of these people could give another perspective (positive or negative) to the recovery process. In addition, the information found does not refer to illegal drugs because they have not been studied with great interest due to this same condition. This is how the purpose of this study is to describe the family factors that favor the recovery process of adult male patients in the city of Quito dependent to illegal psychoactive substances. This study will have a qualitative approach, it will be guided with systemic epistemology, therefore its scope is descriptive and for its design: the grounded theory. Having a representative sample for convenience of ten participants with their respective families. Based on this, it is expected to know is the role of the family of these patients in relation to dependence, what are the family protection factors perceived by these patients, and the perceived implications of family protection factors in the recovery process of these patients.
