Probability model of multipath delays in radar echoes of scattering centres above ocean surface

2012
The probability model of multipath delays is proposed for scattering centres above the ocean surface. The surface is endowed with the Kirchhoff approximation, as well as a probability density function of the elevations and slopes. The model faithfully reflects the stochastic character of the multipath delays in imaging radar echoes. Moreover, it explores a way to simulate the synthetic aperture radar images without the time-consuming process of electromagnetic computation.
