Separation and quantitative determination of thiamine and thiamine phosphoric esters and their preparation in pure form.

Abstract Different methods are described for the separation and determination of thiamine and its phosphoric esters (TPT, DPT and MPT): 1. 1. Chromotographic procedures on paper, and on starch and ion-exchange resin columns. 2. 2. Electrophoretic procedures by paper and by starch and cellulose powder columns. Some of these procedures were successfully used for preparative purposes. The enzymic activity, as yeast cocarboxylase, of the isolated DPT and TPT was tested.
