Effect of low temperature pre-treatment on embryoid induction rate of tobacco anther culture.

The anthers of F2,F3 and F4 plants of K326×GDH(the mutant with yellow leaf) pretreated at 4℃ for 24h,48h and 72h were cultured at(26±1)℃ to study the effect of different low temperature time on embryoid induction rate of tobacco anthers.The results showed that culture of tobacco anthers pretreated at 4℃ for 48h could significantly increase the embryoid induction rate and the optimum culture generation was F2.
