Design of Dye-Vat Control System Based on Control Ethernet

The need of open and digital control devices is very urgent with the development of information system in works. The technological process of spilled-dye-vat is composed of putting in cloth, adding dyestuff, heating dye-liquor, cooling dye-liquor and rinsing. Each process stage has different temperature control curve (dyeing formula). According to technological requirements, the monitoring computer chooses different formula for every dye-vat. The key technique of information system is how to transfer process data in devices clearly to information system, and to automatically issue/execute production schedules. The control ethernet with WAGO 750-842 fieldbus controller based on MODBUS/TCP works out a solution. This control system is reliable and exchangeable by being tested in scene. Process data are openly and transparently transferred to dyeing factory information system.
