Hydrochloric acid extraction - ion selective electrode determination of fluoride in saliva.

2010
Objective To establish a method for hydrochloric acid extraction-ion selective electrode determination of fluoride in saliva. Methods After soaking in hydrochloric acid, fluoride was released from saliva, and activity of fluoride was increased with sodium citrate buffer and detected with fluoride ion selective electrode method. Results Correlation coeffficient of working curve was 0.999 7 with relative standard deviation of 1.76%-6.36%,and recovery rate of 94.4%-103.2%.Conclusions The results show that the method is simple, sensitive and accurate, and can be applied widely and suitable for trace analysis of saliva samples.
