A porous groyne (130) for land reclamation comprising a plurality of pairs of end stanchions (31 ', 31 ") spaced and a plurality of means (32) screen grid, each of said plurality of means screen grid a top (33), a bottom (34) and opposite end edges (35, 36) and having a plurality of openings (39) therein through which can pass fluid and transported solids by the fluid, said plurality of grid means display a formed of high density polyethylene, polypropylene, polymers, copolymers, polymer mixtures or laminates thereof which is formed to create said plurality of openings in them self-supporting material being formed and means for securing said opposite edges of each of said plurality of screen grid means to a separate pair of said plurality of pairs of said end stanchions extremid ad so that said plurality of media screen grid are substantially rigid between said end stanchions, characterized in that at least one of said plurality of media screen grid includes means (132) secondary display mounted in opposed relation or facing to said at least one of said plurality of media screen grid such that varies thereby a size effective aperture of at least some of said plurality of openings of said at least one of said plurality of media screen grid .
