FEASIBILITY OF A PORTABLE DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM FOR DRIVER PERFORMANCE TESTING

This paper reports on a research program which was conducted that was oriented toward the development of a portable data acquisition system for driver performance testing. The paper describes three tasks which were performed during phase I of the research. These include: 1) identification of parameters that should be measured and definition of the minimum set of parameters, 2) development of design requirements for the data acquisition system, and, 3) identification of the data storage and transmission architecture.
