Evaluation of disinfectants applied on clipping tool in tobacco float seedling preduction

2007
Nine chemicals were evaluated for their effects on TMV and injury and dosage in tobacco seedling . Local lesion assay indicated that when mixed with TMV|infected leaf juice dilution within 3 minutes, 5 disinfectants showed 100% inactivation ratio, including 30% chloride of lime 1∶9 solution, 98% trisodium phosphate 1∶9 solution, 7% sodium hypochlorite 1∶150 solution, anonymity disinfectant used in USA 1∶125 solution, and 75% alcohol solution. When mixied with TMV-infected leaf juice dilution within 30 min, 10% chlorine dioxide 1∶200 solution showed 100% inactivation ration. Except 0.6% Jundujing, other tested disinfectants in labeled dosage can induce injuries to seedling leaf with different symptoms, such as chlorotic spot, necrotic spot and disorder.
