Component, in particular tray rear trunk, with a core (2) with honeycomb structure, which is provided on both sides with a reinforcing layer (3, 4) of fibrous material, the reinforcing layer (3, 4 comprising ) a web of fibers with thermoplastic fibers, the core (2) made of thermoplastic material and the latter being bonded with the thermoplastic fibers of the reinforcing layer (3, 4), wherein the core (2) is connected to the fibers being thermoplastic reinforcing layer (3, 4) in a binding complementarity material and that the reinforcing layer (3, 4) is precompressed and is permeable to air and has a resistance to air flow in the range of 500 Nsm -3
