The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between BMI and inflammatory marker, to find whether BMI can reflect inflammatory marker, and to define the usefulness of BMI as obesity evaluation index for female college students. 110 female college students participated to this study and their height, weight, and body composition were measured. and CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 were analysed as inflammatory marker through blood sampling. Some questionnaire of Heyward’s life style survey are used to survey habit of physical activities for variants for statistical analysis. Pearson’s simple correlation analysis, partial correlation analysis and simple regression analysis were used to examine the relation of BMI and inflammatory makers. The result of this study shows that there is significant relationship between BMI and CRP and partial correlation analysis in which age and habit of physical activities are controlled shows that BMI and CRP are also significantly related. It could be suggested that BMI can be used as index for obesity related inflammatory marker partially.
