Enfermedad de Lafora
2000
The diagnosis of Lafora's disease is based on both clinical symptomatology and histologic detection of intracytoplasmic PAS positive inclusions, termed Lafora bodies. Despite the absence of cutaneous clinical findings, dermatologists and dermatopathologists have an important role because axillary skin biopsy is the most useful diagnostic test. In this site, Lafora bodies are detected mainly in the peripheral cells of eccrine ducts and in the myoepithelial cells of apocrine acini.
