Principal Components Method for Statistical Control of Hydraulic Unit Vibration Stability

During hydraulic unit vibration monitoring there were 10 parameters observed: the vibration of head water generator set bearing, hydraulic turbine shaft shaking etc. To assess the stability of hydraulic unit operation the statistical process control is applied to the observation data. Hotelling's chart does not always respond adequately to a possible process disruption or abnormality, sometimes it lags to respond and sometimes it neglects the process abnormality. The present article shows the way out, which is principal component analysis.
