A method of an embodiment of the present invention involves, as one example, the following: acquiring a plurality of program information items corresponding to a plurality of channels on which a broadcast is planned; on the basis of program information and information indicating the conditions of program selection, selecting at least one program, for each of a plurality of time slots, from among a plurality of programs corresponding to a plurality of channels in each time slot; and outputting information for displaying, on a display unit, a program table that includes a first display column in which the information of at least one selected program is arranged in accordance with the broadcast time of the program.
