Aedes (Stegomyia) albopictus (Skuse, 1894) Nuevos registros (Diptera: Culicidae) en estados de Venezuela

New reports of Aedes albopictus (Skuse, 1984.) At locations in the states: Aragua, Anzoategui, Bolivar, Carabobo, Monagas and Guarico, this species is the dengue vector, urban yellow fever (CDC, 2001.), Chikungunya, first described in southern Tanzania in 1952, Venezuelan equine encephalitis (Granz., 2004), eastern equine encephalitis, california (Mitchell et al., 1992). And other viral diseases. Both Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus have been implicated in outbreaks of chikungunya fever. (WHO, 2014). Ae. albopictus was detected in 1985 in America (USA) (Sprenger & Wuithiranyagool, 1986), Brazil (Forattini OP., 1986), among other countries of the South. The first discovery in Venezuela reported by (Navarro et al., 2009) in Caracas in Monagas and Guarico (Quinto-Frontado et. al., 2013), Tiara (Aragua) by (Ramirez et. al., 2012) and Municipality Mario Briceno Irragori Aragua state by (Martiradonna et. al., 2013). The objective was to report the presence of Aedes albopictus in six (6) states, Venezuela from 2013 to 2014. Adults were collected by manual scavengers in human bait and immature stages (larvae) in a wide range of containers, both natural and artificial; they were placed in containers to adulthood, as reported (Burges, N RH., 1993). Associated pups and adult emergence "Dr. was conducted, I was classified and identified taxonomically by (Belkin, et al.,1965), they lie in the collections of the Entomological Museum ¨Pablo Cova Garcia¨. Subsequent to the report of Ae. albopictus (Navarro et al., 2009) and records to the present, it is recommended to strengthen and establish permanent promotion, entomological and epidemiological surveillance.
