Profesionalización de la comunidad latinoamericana de matemática educativa

The goal of this work is to perform an exploratory, cross-sectional and descriptive study to assess whether there is evidence of the professionalization of the Latin American Community of Mathematics Education. It is used as the unit of analysis the American Mathematics Education Act (2002-2013) and bibliometric indicators applied for study. The results show that there are quantitative data that demonstrate the interaction and collaboration on scientific activity in this community as well as the formation of social networks in the conduct of investigations. We conclude that the professionalization of this community has a positive behavior.
