Discrepant findings between proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging in an immunocompetent patient with herpes simplex virus type 1 encephalitis
2012
AbstractThe authors report discrepant findings between proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy and conventional magnetic resonance imaging in a 67-y-old woman with herpes simplex virus type 1 encephalitis. The sparse amount of literature on proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy in patients with herpes simplex type 1 encephalitis is discussed.
