Prebaked carbon anode for electrolyzing aluminum

2005
The utility model relates to a prebaked carbon anode for electrolyzing aluminum. The utility model is characterized in that on the bottom of a prebaked anode carbon block for electrolyzing aluminum, a concave through groove is arranged in the middle part in a width direction. The application of the prebaked carbon anode of the utility model for an aluminum cell adds channels where anodic gas is expelled and shortens the distance that the anodic gas passes through in expelled, which is favourable for the expeling of the anodic gas. Thus, the residence time of the anode gas at the bottom of the anode and the air bubble coverage rate of anode bottom are decreased. Moreover, the boiling of electrolyte around the anode is more uniform, the boiling strength is reduced obviously, and the disturbance to fusant from the gas expelling is reduced. The average swinging of tank voltage is reduced by 2 to 4 mv, and needle shaking is reduced by 10 mv. The stability of aluminum electrolysis production is enhanced, and the efficiency of aluminum electrolysis current is increased by 0.3%. The utility model is favourable for the improvement on other technical economical indexes.
