Porous microstructure modification of La1 − xSrxCoO3 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) ceramics via Sr content

Abstract La 1 −  x Sr x CoO 3 (0 ≤  x  ≤ 1) ceramics have been prepared by a solid-state reaction method. Crystal structure has been checked by X-ray diffraction and the results indicate that the rhombohedral phase of La 1 −  x Sr x CoO 3 turns into cubic phase in the range of Sr content x  = 0.3–0.4, and the lattice parameter continually increases with increasing Sr content. La 1 −  x Sr x CoO 3 ( x  ≥ 0.8) ceramics with cubic phases have been synthesized in air. Microstructure analysis shows that both the grain size and the pore size enlarge, the grains are more well-bonded and the quantity of grain boundaries becomes small with increasing Sr content. The change of porous microstructure with different Sr content has been discussed preliminarily.
