Seguimiento de aves acuáticas reproductoras en la isla de Fuerteventura (Canary Islands)

ABSTRACT: This paper shows the data of the waterbirds breeding popula-tions in the wetlands of Fuerteventura island, the breeding seasons of theyears 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012. There have been identified a total of 21zones of interest, corresponding to 6 ravines and 15 muddy pools, dams orother wetlands. Has been identified are reproduced six breeding species ofbirds, distributed in the sector centre north of Fuerteventura, being Tadornaferruginea the most numerous species, followed by Gallinula chloropus. Themost relevant wetlands of the island have been Rosa de Catalina Garcia , thedam of Los Molinos and the ravine of Rio Cabras .Key words: Aquatic birds, breeding, census, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands.RESUMEN: Se muestran los resultados de los censos de aves acuaticas re-productoras realizados en los humedales de la isla de Fuerteventura, durantelos periodos reproductores de 2008, 2009, 2011 y 2012.
