Effects of the staged nursing on preventing arthritic dislocation after total hip replacement

Objective To evaluate the effect of staged nursing on preventing arthritic dislocation after total hip replacement(THR).Methods There were 68 cases involved in each group,the experimental group and the control group.The control group received routine care,while the experimental group received the staged nursing care in according to nursing needs at different times,before surgery and 0~6 days,7~14 days,15~30 days,31~60 days or 61~90 days after THR,in addition to the routine care.The nursing effect and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results Compared with the control group,the incidence of postoperative arthritic dislocation was significantly lower,and patient satisfaction was higher(P0.05).Conclusion The staged nursing intervention can effectively prevent arthritic dislocation after THR,and improve their satisfaction with nursing services.
