Iron loss model for electrical machines fed by low switching frequency PWM

Modern electrical machines are normally driven by a pulse width module (PWM) inverter.The aim of this study is to develop an iron loss model for electrical machines fed by a low switching frequency PWM inverter. In the full paper, iron loss models for sinusoidal flux density are reviewed at first. A lamination test is carried out in this study to evaluate the accuracy of the model for sinusoidal flux density, this will be systematically demonstrated in the full paper.
