Super high-rise structural design of Wuxi Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Tower

2010
The height of the main tower of Wuxi Energy Conservation and Environment Protection Building is 152.3m,with a structural system that combines steel-reinforced concrete frames and reinforced concrete core tube.In this system, the frame columns and the main frame beams are steel-reinforced concrete members, additionally, the steel sections are also placed at the four corners of the outer core tube.Boring cast-in-place piles with large diameters are adopted in the foundation, which uses the pile layout with the smallest punching to the core tube. The design of steelreinforced concrete columns and beams adopt two technical specifications respectively to calculate the difference between them, which are the'Technical specification of steel-reinforced concrete structures'(YB 9082—2006) and the'Technical specification for steel reinforced concrete composite structures '(JGJ 138—2001),and the corresponding proposals for design are suggested. The adopted joints of steel reinforced concrete columns and beams are easy and convenient as well as steel-saving for construction. The structural analysis is carried out by software SATWE and MIADS BUILDING in calculation and to comparison. In addition, elastic time-history is also investigated to compare the effect of the overall stiffness of the structure to the results of elastic time-history analysis.Elasto-plastic pushover analysis is carried out considering the rare-occurred earthquake and the results meet the relevant standards and requirements.
