Optical characterization of CdO thin films on dielectric substrate

Cadmium oxide thin film (CdO) is prepared using aqueous solution of cadmium chloride and hydrogen peroxide on the dielectric substrate by using spray pyrolysis technique at 400 0 C.The CdO Thin film grown is good adherence and homogeneity with high transparency in visible region. Optical characterization of CdO thin film is studied using UV- VISIBLE Spectrophotometer. Optical energy band gap is calculated by optical absorption measurement done in the visible region (380 - 10000nm) on the bases of absorption.
