Method and device for managing icons

The invention provides a method for managing icons. The method comprises the steps that an acquiring operation is carried out, and when the operation meets a preset requirement, a page display area and an icon containing object kept fixed relative to the page display area are displayed; a response to the operation on the icons in a page displayed in the page display area is carried out, and the operated icons are moved to the icon containing object; when the preset condition is met, all the icons in the icon containing object are added to a folder. The invention further provides a device for managing the icons. According to the method and device for managing the icons, the icon management process is simple, and the icons in the folder can be fast managed.
