Abordajes actuales para el estudio de los paisajes arqueológicos: prácticas, cultura material y lugares

2018
Landscape studies in archeology have been developing over several decades, during which the contributions from different fields nurtured what we call landscape archaeologies . As part of the XIX National Congress of Argentine Archeology, in 2016, colleagues from different parts of South America participated in the symposium "From natural landscape to humanized landscape: practices, material culture and places". Here we review the works presented at this meeting and published in this dossier. Beyond the diverse ontologies involved in each article, three concepts span the archaeological narratives about landscapes: habitus, taskscape and heritage. Through these terms it is possible to achieve an updated perspective of archaeological landscape studies in South America.
