Orthodontic reconstruction with autotransplantation and bone grafting after a traffic accident

Posttreatment 5-year and 9-year records were taken. Good occlusion was maintained. At 5 years after treatment, mandibular forward growth was observed on the superimposition of the cephalogram, and dental compensation followed. The maxillary transplanted premolars moved labially, and mandibular incisors inclined lingually. In addition, at 5 years posttreatment, restoration of maxillary anterior teeth and placement and restoration of 2 dental implants was recommended. Both implants and 4 anterior teeth were restored with porcelain crowns at 9 years postretention.
