Multi-sensor multiuser receiver with soft-decision channel decoder for coded asynchronous CDMA systems

1999
A multiuser receiver based on the processing of signals received at multiple sensors is proposed for coded asynchronous CDMA systems. The advantages of the multi-sensor systems are utilized to improve the signal-to-noise ratio, counteract the effects of fading and suppress the multiuser interference. In order to improve the efficiency of the error control coding, multiuser interference is estimated and subtracted from the received signal, prior to feeding it to the RAKE combiner and a soft-decision channel decoder. Finally, the numerical results are shown for a convolutionally coded asynchronous CDMA system. The conventional and our generalized multistage detectors are compared with different system capacity by simulations.
