Study on Standardization of Panel Furniture

Starting from the status of panel furniture mills in China, this paper analyzes the issues in production, marketing and other areas caused by the low degree of standardization across Chinese panel furniture mills. The necessity and urgency to advance the standardization is also pointed out. It is particularly discussed the contents of standardization with respect to design, materials, (hardware, )encoding, machines, equipments and techniques and so on. It is emphasized that (standardization) in design is a key step. Matters need to be taken into account and strategies during the course of standardization are also discussed. It is the authors' hope that this paper will attract the attention of Chinese furniture mills to the implementation of standardization.
