Photoaging, or extrinsic aging, is a common dermatologic condition caused by chronic ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Clinical observation has shown that photoaging presents differently across skin types; light skinned patients present with increased atrophy and prominent wrinkling whereas dark skinned patients present with increased pigmentation changes and skin laxity.1,2.
