This work emerged as a result of our concern about the level of medicalization of our students, which does not differ from the national statistics, that has been poorly publicized. Therefore, this paper presents conceptions and discussions about the medication and some aspects related to the non-rational use of medicines. The investigation was conducted with 3rd year students of high school in a public state school in Goiânia - GO. Those activities were conducted as a part of a teaching project to support the further development of strategies that add Chemical, Biological and Historical contents, and merge issues of technological, social, environmental, political and economic nature. The goal was to encourage discussions and reflections that collaborate to promote health.
