Design and Implementation of a Highly Adaptable Android Transparent Encryption Framework

In the work and life, Android smartphones are used more and more widely, storage of sensitive information is one of the most important security issues, file encryption protection is the main method of protecting sensitive information. A transparent encryption framework of Android file based on the hook technology is proposed in this paper, and the key technologies including the process injection, linker replacement and security module loading are introduced in details. The feasibility of the proposed encryption framework is verified by experiments. Without modifying the Android operating system and applications, files can be protected by encryption efficiently.
