Personality markers as a risk for sudden deafness

1986
: As a rule, the patient suffering sudden deafness is a personality who weakens himself through disappointments or the inability to recover and who strives to make excessive demands on himself. He does not recognize the limits of his own ability to take stress, and suffers a sudden deafness due to an external event (triggering situation). In this case, sudden deafness is to be regarded as a "weak point" or "safeguard" to prevent even greater damage. This semblance of a solution is an event interrupting a disaster cycle.
