A NON-CHLORIDE ACCELERATING ADMIXTURE FOR CLASS CF FLY ASH

The article reports the development of a new nonchloride admixture that accelerates the set time and early strength development of concrete containing Class CF fly ash at normal and below normal temperatures. The article describes experiments to assess the effects of this admixture on the properties of concrete containing Class CF fly ash. The admixture allows the economical production of high strength concrete using fly ash, while maintaining the shortened construction cycles normally obtained with concrete containing only cement.
