Este articulo parte de los postulados de la Conferencia Regional de Educacion Superior para America Latina y el Caribe (CRES 2018), especialmente sobre la base de su eje tematico: La educacion superior como parte del sistema educativo, en relacion con el objetivo de desarrollo sostenible:  Educacion para todos de la ONU.  De tal forma, se presentan resultados y proyecciones en Cuba sobre la articulacion entre la educacion superior y la educacion escolar, en cuanto a la formacion de profesores, la transicion entre la educacion media y superior, al interior de la educacion superior y con el medio exterior; asi como la calidad y pertinencia en la funcion formativa, el desarrollo de competencias a lo largo de toda la vida y su expresion en el desarrollo local-territorial.  This paper is based on the postulates of the Regional Conference on Higher Education for Latin America and the Caribbean (CRES 2018), especially on the basis of its thematic axis: Higher education as part of the educational system, in relation to the sustainable development goal: Education for all of the UN. Results and projections in Cuba are presented on the articulation between higher education and school education, in terms of teacher training, the transition between secondary and higher education, within higher education and with the external environment; as well as the quality and relevance in the formative function, the development of competences throughout life and its expression in local-territorial development.
