As porosidades do tempo: velhos e velhices nas publicações homoeróticas brasileiras (1978-2013)

In this thesis are discussed the readability and visibilities in texts about old homosexuals in three of the main publications aimed at the gay public in Brazil (Lampiao da Esquina, Sui Generis and G Magazine) during the period of 1978 and 2013; being also analyzed the concepts of old age presented in these periodicals. Old age in the country is a theme that has aroused the interest of the population only during the twentieth century. Since then, the idea of aging has undergone changes in its theoretical, technical and interpretative conception, because the culture of the body aimed only the youth in its entire magnitude and beauty. It is associated with the fact that the time of the glory of life of the elders has already closed, and therefore, the daily practices operated by such people, in the eyes of society, cause estrangement. Likewise, thinking about homosexuality during old age is something that almost always exists with a silencing, especially among historians. With a bibliographical and quantitative research, a content analysis was performed through archeology, and it is possible to perceive that the aging experiences of this group, in specific, almost always diverge from the instituted medical knowledge.
