Interaction of Stark ladders in strongly coupled supeilattices with embedded quantum wells: experiment and theory

Wannier-Stark localization of the electronic states of GaAs-GaAlAs superlatfices has recently been observed.1 Recent experiments measured the net electron-hole transition energies of weakly coupled superlattices; information on the conduction-band states could be obtained only by neglecting the width of the heavy-hole band.
