Phosphatases in tissues of hydatidiform mole and normal placenta
1965
Abstract The activity of both acid and alkaline phosphatases in the hydatidiform mole tissue was found to be much lower than that in the normal placenta. The pH activity curves of the enzymes reveal that in the placenta extract there are four peaks, namely, at pH 4.4, 5.2–5.5, 10, and 11; whereas in the mole extract, three peaks, at pH 4.4, 5.2–5.5, and 10.
