Flame soldering method of high volume fraction SiC particle-reinforced Al matrix composite

2009
The invention discloses a flame soldering method of high volume fraction SiC particle-reinforced Al matrix composite, relating to a flame soldering method of a composite. The invention solves the problem that high volume fraction SiC particle-reinforced Al matrix composite is hard to be welded into engineering structure by melting. The method of the invention is characterized in that Ni-p is chemically plated on the surface of high volume fraction SiC particle-reinforced Al matrix composite, and then flame soldering is carried out. The method of the invention can cause brazing filler metal and master batch to mutually diffuse to form compact metallurgical bonding so as to obtain a brazing seam with higher room temperature strength. The method of the invention is adopted to carry out identical material connection on SiCp/ Zl101 of which the SiC particle volume fraction is 55% to obtain the joint strength of 255 MPa which reaches 85% of master batch tensile strength (300 MPa).
