The invention provides a locomotive synchronous control system and a locomotive synchronous control method used thereby, wherein a vehicle-mounted control unit (3) of a main vehicle collects synchronous control signals from the main vehicle during locomotive reconnection operation and sends the synchronous control signals to all the vehicle control units (4) of an auxiliary vehicle in a locomotive group by the WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) network; and at least a vehicle control unit (4) of the auxiliary vehicle performs the auxiliary vehicle synchronous control operation under the condition of receiving the synchronous control signals. Via the locomotive synchronous control system and the locomotive synchronous control method provided by the invention, re-transmission can be performed fast when the problem of the network is discovered; the real-time performance of the synchronous control signaling is guaranteed; and the safe operation and monitoring requirements of the train can be satisfied.
