ENDOMETROID BORDERLINE OVARIAN CARCINOMA RESULTING IN PSEUDO-MEIGS SYNDROME

2019
A case report of a 46-year-old postmenopausal woman with a uterine adnexal mass suspected to be malignant clinically and from the sonographic appearance. Patient presented with pleural effusions and ascites, which resolved after the removal of the mass by an explorative laparotomy. Final histology confirmed endometroid borderline ovarian tumor. The diagnosis of Pseudo-Meigs Syndrome was set; physicians should be suspicious in these rare cases.
