In the title compound, C16H15NO5, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 15.6 (2)°. In the crystal structure, the mol­ecules are linked through weak inter­molecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the b axis.
