Aim: This study was designed as Phase II students’ evaluation of Anatomy teaching at Gazi University Medical School at the end of academic year 2004-2005. Methods: The questionnaire was asked to be filled by the Phase II students in a classroom under the surveillance of instructors. 180 (80.0%) out of 225 students took part. The questionnaire was in the form of Likert scale (i.e. absolutely agree, partly agree, no idea, partly disagree, absolutely disagree), and analyzed in SPSS for Windows statistical program. Findings: Of those 180 students who took part, 78.9% attended 70% of the lecture hours at the minimum, and following percentages were found as the results of combined answers of items “absolutely agree” and “partly agree”. 66.1% of the students found the aim and structure of the lectures well planned, 58.9% thought the way in which the lectures delivered made understanding easier, 62.2% stated that the important points were underlined during the lectures, 61.6% were in good communication with the tutors, 61.7% were generally satisfied with the lectures. 93.9% of the students, who participated, attended 80% of the practical sessions at the minimum. 87.2% thought the lectures and practical sessions were accordance, 60.5% stated that the sessions what was expected, 73.3% thought that the session duration was satisfactory, according to 29.5% number of cadavers were sufficient, this ratio was 38.9% for the number of models, and 40% found variety of models satisfactory, 72.2% claimed no problem with the sessions. As for the exams, 80% found exams well planned, and for 61.7% questions were clear and easy to understand. Conclusion: For to improve and open new horizons in Medical education, students’ evaluations and feedbacks are important and due attention will be given and open to discussion in the Departmental Education Meeting.
